A Majestic Vista
The Gardens were laid out over a period of 150 years and were designed to create a garden that was part of the wider landscape, creating one of the most majestic vistas in Ireland. Fine statuary and ironworks collected from across Europe adorn these magnificent Gardens.
Irish Artisan & Homecooked Cuisine at Avoca
The Palladian Mansion was destroyed by fire in 1974 and it lay dormant for over 20 years. In 1996 it was re-opened, but not to its original glory. It is now home to the best in Irish Design in the craft and interior shops. The Avoca Terrace Cafe offers the finest in Irish artisan, home cooked cuisine and the most delectable desserts.
These wonderful and gracious gardens are suitable for people of all ages and an audio-visual brings to life the rich history of the Estate. Delight in the wonderment of exploration with the little ones, take time to smell the roses and stroll at your leisure through the themed gardens.
Powerscourt Estate is located just 20 minutes south of Dublin. If coming from Dublin City Centre/M50, take the N11 southbound (Wexford). Take exit 7 for Bray South, Enniskerry, Powerscourt Gardens. Turn left at the roundabout, go over the flyover and re-join the N11 (North). Take the first left for Enniskerry Village (Exit 6a). In the village, take the road to the left of the clock tower. Powerscourt Estate is at the top of the hill on the right hand side.
